It has been brought to our attention by retailers, reps and friends that there are people who are making and selling clogs that are Pink Monogram "knock-offs." We, along with our retailers, reps, friends and the monogram industry consider this stealing. So, consider this your first (and in some cases, your last) warning/request.

Each clog design or related product created by, or for, The Pink Monogram is The Pink Monogram property. This applies, but is not limited to, the different fabric and sole combinations (monogrammed or not, using any color thread or sole), the pom-pom or painted sole embellishments (in any color, in any and all placements on the clog) and any and all hardware.

Should you choose to ignore this warning/request, you will be charged a CUSTOM DESIGN FEE of $3,000 for each month your Pink Monogram "knock-off" product is on a retailer's shelf or is sold to family and/or friends. If you think this fee is extreme, just know that charging a design fee to those who make products using the ideas and the creative elements of other peoples' products WITHOUT PERMISSION is an industry standard. To those we have asked (on several occasions) to stop making and selling clogs that resemble ours - and have refused, our accountant is preparing a bill for "THE USE OF CREATIVE DESIGN WITHOUT PERMISSION" that will include the months of and after the first "stop using" request was made. We respectfully request that you have your Pink Monogram "knock-off" clogs off all retailers' shelves by November 1, 2005, and that you cease using any element of The Pink Monogram designs and/or design elements.

When you see a Pink Monogram product being copied, please let us know. We will make sure that you receive compensation for your efforts to keep "knock-off" products off the shelves of unsuspecting retailers.

We at The Pink Monogram have built our business on honesty and integrity. We are dedicated to providing our customers with quality products. We have created clogs, ponchos and other monogrammed products that are our own design. The purchase of these products from The Pink Monogram and the display of them as your own creation is also considered stealing. Having begun our business with only a small amount of fabric and a lot of prayer, we encourage and support entrepreneurship - especially among women. However, we think that whatever your goals are for your business, your success should come from your own ideas, not ideas stolen from others.
